Accessibility Features
Key accessibility features implemented in Management Hub
Keyboard Navigation
All interactive elements can be accessed and operated using only a keyboard. Tab through the interface to navigate, use Enter or Space to activate buttons and links.
Screen Reader Support
Our interface is built with semantic HTML and appropriate ARIA attributes, ensuring compatibility with screen readers including NVDA, JAWS, and VoiceOver.
Colour Contrast
We maintain a minimum contrast ratio of 4.5:1 for normal text and 3:1 for large text, exceeding WCAG 2.2 Level AA requirements for readability.
Focus Indicators
Visible focus indicators are provided for all interactive elements, making it easy to track your position when navigating with a keyboard.
Text Alternatives
All images, icons, and non-text content include descriptive alternative text or are marked as decorative where appropriate.
Consistent Navigation
Navigation menus and component layouts remain consistent across all pages, aiding predictability and ease of use.
Resizable Text
Text can be resized up to 200% without loss of content or functionality. The interface responds appropriately to browser zoom settings.
Error Identification
Form errors are clearly identified with descriptive messages, and input requirements are communicated before submission.
WCAG 2.2 Principles
The four principles that guide web accessibility
Perceivable
Information and user interface components are presented in ways that all users can perceive.
- Text alternatives for images
- Captions for audio
- Colour is not the only means of conveying information
Operable
User interface components and navigation are operable by all users.
- Keyboard accessible
- Sufficient time to read content
- No content that causes seizures
Understandable
Information and operation of the user interface are understandable.
- Readable and predictable content
- Input assistance for forms
- Consistent navigation
Robust
Content is robust enough to be interpreted by a wide variety of user agents and assistive technologies.
- Valid HTML
- ARIA correctly used
- Compatible with assistive technologies
Supported Assistive Technologies
Management Hub is designed to be compatible with the following assistive technologies:
- Screen readers (NVDA, JAWS, VoiceOver, TalkBack)
- Voice recognition software (Dragon NaturallySpeaking)
- Screen magnification software (ZoomText, Windows Magnifier)
- Alternative input devices (switch devices, eye tracking)
- Browser accessibility extensions and add-ons
Known Limitations
While we strive for full accessibility, some areas may have limitations:
- Some third-party content or embedded media may not be fully accessible. We are working with our partners to improve this.
- Older PDF documents may not be fully accessible. We are progressively updating our document library.
- Some interactive features may require JavaScript. Core functionality remains available without JavaScript where possible.
We are continuously working to address these limitations and improve accessibility across all areas of our platform.
